It’s been a long month of lectures and ghost hunts. Had a great lecture just last week at Lost Valley Lake, and we filled the theater there. This weekend, on Friday and Sunday, is the Hermann Trolley of Terror tour put on by Ferals in Peril of Hermann, a charity that captures, fixes, heals and finds home for feral cats.
Finally, on Saturday, October 26th, we’ll have the final public investigation at the Old Diamonds, or Tri-County Truck Stop on old Route 66 in Gray Summit. Right at the intersection of Highway 100 and Highway 44, this place is a treasure of hauntings. We’ve had several photos of paranormal activity come from the public investigations. It’s been on several TV shows about haunted places, and the Paranormal Task Force has done a public event there recently, as has Spookstalker. This time, it the final entry in the Franklin County Bicentennial Committee’s Historical Haunts series, in which I’ve taken groups through the Old Courthouse, General Harney’s Mansion, and the John Busch Brewery. Number 4 is The Old Diamonds, and it promises to be exciting. Join us for one last adventure for the season. The Old Diamonds does not disappoint!
